Indian movies are replete with bloopers. We have had our share of laughs when the hero would start fighting after getting hit with a bullet and his blood would resemble bright red paint. Writers and directors sometimes fail to make sense of a situation. We bring to you a compilation of 10 Mistakes in Indian Movies You Never Realized.
Bhaag Milkha Bhaag
Bhaag Milkha Bhaag was an amazing movie based on the life of Milkha Singh with an outstanding performance by Farhan Akhtar. The movie was set in the 1950’s and Farhan sings the song ‘Nanha Munna Rahi Hoon’ in the film. But wait, this song was from the movie ‘Son of India’ which was released in 1962. Oops!
Lagaan
Lagaan broke all records when it released and was no doubt a beloved movie especially since it was cricket themed, a sport so dear to Indians. The movie showed that each over had 6 balls. However, the movie was set in 1892, during which England only allowed 5 balls per over. We reckon more research was required.
Krrish 3
We wonder how and why this was not thought through. In the movie Krrish 2, Hrithik Roshan was in Singapore for the past 2 years. And voila his wife Preity Zinta who is in India, gets pregnant! How crazy is that!
Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham
Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham which was set in 1999 was filled with blunders. During the prom scene Kareena wears two different red shoes, but at the prom she is wearing red stilettos. Also, she was wearing a red scarf when she leaves for the prom, but she is seen reaching the prom in a red coat. Hrithik is seen at the college in a red convertible Lamborghini Countach. But later, he is seen in a silver Mercedes. Also during the flashback in 1991, Amitabh Bachchan sings the song ‘Ati Kya Khandala’ from the film Ghulam. But hang on! Ghulam released in 1998. What can we say? We are stunned!
Baazigar
This Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and Shilpa Shetty blockbuster showcased superb acting skills of the star cast. But a major error stupefied us. In the scene wherein, SRK pushes Shilpa off the terrace of the building, she comes down smashing a glass roof. But when SRK tries to escape out of the hotel, that glass is very much intact. Can someone please explain how that’s possible?
PK
If you have watched PK carefully, then during the train scene wherein, Sanjay Dutt comes to Delhi, the train number is 12290. This is the Duronto Express which runs between Mumbai and Nagpur. In addition, Kalyan is evidently written on the train.
RA.One
RA.One was one of the biggest flops of its year. This one really had us in splits. In RA.One, SRK is portrayed as a Hindu and when he dies, he is shown in a coffin. And the next scene shows Kareena throwing his ashes in the water. Our brains are literally spinning now!
Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam
They thought they fooled us, but we caught them! This romance saga had Ajay Devgan and Aishwarya Rai land in Italy in search of Salman Khan. But you can clearly see the Szechenyi Chain Bridge which is in Hungary in most of the scenes. Also, in the scene where Aishwarya and Ajay get robbed, Aishwarya gets shot in the neck. But when in the hospital, you can only see a bandage on her hand. What happened to the neck injury?
Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge
This was very obvious. After the epic train sequence wherein, Kajol grabs SRK’s hand to get in the moving train, her bag opens, and her belongings are all over. She clearly packs everything back and there is nothing on the floor. A moment later SRK finds her inner garment hidden underneath him. We are still wondering how it got there!
Chennai Express
Chennai Express was a huge hit and people loved Deepika’s accent and her acting skills. In the movie SRK’s grandmother gives him his grandfather’s ashes once at home and then again at the train station. Double death we reckon!
