The movie received poor reviews. IMDB rated 2.9 stars out of 10. Film critic Taran Adarsh rated just 2 out of 5 stars for the movie, saying that Remo D’Souza missed a golden opportunity. Koimoi gave 2 out of 5 and The Indian Express gave 1.5 out of 5 stars to the movie.
Race 3 was in the news before its release. People trolled the trailer and songs of Race 3. Many people trolled movie for its logic fewer scenes and meaningless lyrics in the songs. Rajeev Masand said that Race 3 justifies the dialogue of Kick – Dil Mein aata hu, samaz main Nahi (I felt by heart but cannot be understood). The movie is logicless.

Race 3 featured 4 frontline actors. The movie featured Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez, Bobby Deol, Daisy Shah and Saqib Saleem. The list of actors was enough to pull the audience to the theatre.

Eid release

The festive release is always special in terms of collection for Bollywood movies. Eid, Diwali, Independence Day and Christmas are considered as a golden release date for movies. Race 3 released on Eid. The film got good collection because of its Eid release.

Mass and action movie

There are two types of movies i.e. class and mass. Race 3 belongs to the second category. It is a mass-oriented movie. The movie has excellent action scenes, also race 3 is a 3D movie.

Salman Khan effect

Salman Khan is currently king of Bollywood. The film requires a touch of Salman Khan easily enter into 100 crore club. Last 10-12 movies of Salman Khan are blockbuster, except 1-2.

The opening collection and first-weekend collection of Race 3 are extraordinary. But Race 3 experienced the downfall in Monday’s collection and it collected 14 crores. It is well-known fact that when superstars like Shahrukh Khan, Aamir Khan and Salman Khan release their movie on the festive season, then the movie will break the record of the weekend collection. The film passes litmus test when it weekdays start and reviews play important role in increasing the footfalls of the audience.
